Entercom Launches COVID-19 Relief Fund

• In the wake of the economic destruction caused by the coronavirus pandemic, Entercom is launching a COVID-19 Team Relief Fund to aid its employees that have been particularly hard hit at this time.

In a staff memo, obtained by RAMP, Entercom Chairman, Pres. & CEO David Field announced the formation of the fund. Leading up to that, he said, “As you are aware, we recently took some painful, but necessary actions to help mitigate the large reduction in revenues that we are experiencing and to ensure that we endure the pandemic and emerge as a strong, healthy and fully competitive organization. I appreciate the shared sacrifices that we are making across the team.”

Field continued, “We understand that some members of our team are being particularly hard hit by COVID-19 due to their own special personal circumstances. In these difficult times for our entire nation, we need to be there for those members of our team who are facing the most challenging circumstances. Today, I am pleased to announce the Entercom COVID-19 Team Relief Fund, our effort to support members of our team who are facing particularly difficult hardships resulting from the pandemic. Under the program, Entercom will provide grants to employees who are facing the most extraordinary COVID-19-related challenges due to medical care, unique child or eldercare situations, or family members who are on the front lines of the crisis serving in health care or as first responders.”

In closing, Field said, “It is more important now than ever before to stand united as one team and support each other through these uncertain times. Our commitment to each other and to our listeners, partners, customers, and the communities we serve is what will ensure that we come out strong on the other side of things. I continue to be inspired by how our Entercom team has stepped up to help us all move forward. Thank you for all that you are doing. Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay connected. We are all in this together.”
