MacDonald Garber Ups Bridges To VP
• Veteran programmer and air talent Robby Bridges has been elevated to Vice President of Programming/South for MacDonald Garber Broadcasting. In this newly created role, Bridges will oversee all aspects of programming for the company’s stations in Traverse City and Cadillac, MI, including Country WLXV (96.7 The Bull) and Adult Hits WZTC (104.5 Bob FM). Bridges will retain his existing day-to-day programming duties for heritage Top 40 WKHQ (106KHQ)/Traverse City and continue to host the Robby & Rochelle morning show with his wife, Rochelle Gagnon, reporting directly to Peter and Tad Garber.
Bridges commented, “I’m thrilled for the opportunity to work with our programmers and leadership to grow these brands and to grow with an outstanding broadcaster like MGB in this fabulous resort region!” GM Tad Garber added, “We’re glad to have Robby’s programming expertise at work for us in the company!”
Bridges arrived in scenic Traverse City in March of this year after a stint as Operations Manager for Townsquare Media’s Portsmouth, NH cluster. He previously spent 11 years with Cumulus Media and Westwood One, the last two as Director of FM Programming for Hot AC WDVD, Country WDRQ (NASH FM 93.1) and Classic Country NASH Icon 93.1-HD2/Detroit. Bridges earlier programmed sister WEBE 108/Bridgeport, CT and WFAS-FM/Westchester, NY. He will continue his voiceover work and guest-hosting on Scott Shannon‘s syndicated True Oldies Channel.
