Krizner Named PD Of WXDX/Pittsburgh

• iHeartMedia Pittsburgh keeps it in the family and promotes Abby Krizner to Program Director of Alternative WXDX (105.9 The X), the Radio Home of youuuuurrrr Pittsburgh Penguins, effective immediately.

The move allows John Moschitta to focus on his PD role at Classic Rock WDVE, while continuing to be a valuable resource for Krizner, who joined 105.9 The X in 2008 and was most recently APD and morning show host. She has also served as the Music Director and on-air personality for iHeartRadio’s Custom Alternative station.

Krizner reports to David Edgar, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Pittsburgh, who commented, “Abby is the perfect fit to lead the 105.9 The X programming department. She will bring her strategic thinking, music and lifestyle knowledge and creative promotional ideas to the station. Plus, she’s an actual rock star, performing with her local band Tiny Wars.”

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve as Program Director for my hometown station, 105.9 The X,” said Krizner, who received her Master’s degree in Multimedia Technology from Pittsburgh’s Duquesne University. “My 13 years have been so much more than the creative expression heard on the air. I’ve had incredible leadership with mentors providing apt challenges along the way that will serve me well as I take on this role.”
