Community Broadcasters’ Top 40 WECQ (Q92)/Ft. Walton Beach-Destin, FL has filled its PD/afternoon drive vacancy from in-house, promoting midday personality/Social Media Coordinator Chelsea Alayne into the big chair. OM Matt Stone commented, “We did a full nationwide search for the next leader of Q and we found her right here in the building. In this company we love to promote those who have shown the desire to grow both personally and professionally and Chelsea has done just that.” Market Manager Ron Raybourne said, “It’s been great watching Chelsea grow professionally at Community Broadcasters. I’m looking forward to seeing what new ideas she brings to the table for Q92.”

Alan (pictured) is a two-year station vet who previously worked in Memphis and Mississippi. She succeeds Sean Mack, who was recently named MD/afternoon personality at Entercom Hot AC KAMX (Mix 94.7)/Austin. “I’m so excited to be given this opportunity to help grow what Sean Mack started here in Fort Walton Beach-Destin,” Alayne remarked. “I want to thank Ron Raybourne, Matt Stone and Community Broadcasters for allowing me to not only grow as a professional, but also as a person. We will continue to stay active in the community and deliver great radio to The Emerald Coast. We are shooting for that No. 1 spot!”
