DeSantis Named Promo Director, KCAL/Riverside

• Anaheim Broadcasting’s heritage Rock station 96-7 KCAL Rocks/Riverside, CA is excited to report that it is now back to a full staff following some tough COVID-related furloughs back in January. The latest full-time addition to the crew is longtime Riverside market veteran John DeSantis, who has been named KCAL’s new Promotions Director. DeSantis notably spent 23 years across the street with All Pro Broadcasting, mainly as PD of Alternative KCXX (X103.9), and later, at its Hot AC successor KHTI (Hot 103.9) until December 2019. Most recently, DeSantis has been doing weekend/fill-in shifts at KCAL, which, ironically, is where he started his career.

KCAL PD/afternoon talent, Daryl Norsell said, “After many years competing against John, I’m incredibly excited to have him on our team. Brainstorming sessions are gonna be fun. In what has been a really challenging year, and I can’t say enough about what an outstanding job [Promotions Coordinator] Cristina Herrera did flying solo.
