Johnson Booked From CMH To JFK
• UPDATED: Sending our best wishes to Ashley Johnson, currently the Executive Producer of the syndicated Dave and Jimmy Show, based at iHeartMedia Top 40 WNCI/Columbus, OH, who is packing for a big move to America’s biggest market — she was just named as the new Producer of the Carolina With Greg T Morning Show on sister WKTU/New York. Her first day in Market No. 1 will be October 8, and she replaces Colleen Shea, who is now working for Live Nation.

Johnson started her radio career as a promotions assistant with Clear Channel Columbus in 2013. After brief internships with Walt Disney World and Radio Disney Chicago, Johnson rejoined iHeartMedia Columbus in Sept. 2014 as a sales assistant, worked her way up to morning show producer, and was elevated to Executive Producer two years ago.
RAMP reached out to Jimmy Jam, the “Jimmy” portion of Dave & Jimmy, who said, “Ashley has been with our show for six years and has become a real pro at keeping the machine moving behind the scenes. She can do it all, from editing to running a live board to running our social media. She’ll do great in New York. I’ve known Greg T for 20 years and those two will get along great!”
That said, Dave & Jimmy are now looking for their next great producer. As Jimmy notes, “Someone who is technically competent and has a great work ethic; someone who will be excited to be with a syndicated show that is now in 10 markets and soon to be more.
