Sweet Taste Of Victory For City Of Hope
A record-breaking turnout of over 500 generous industry professionals helped generate over $300,000 for the City of Hope during last Thursday’s annual Taste of Hope event in New York. We would like to offer our most sincere congratulations to Event Chair Alissa Pollack, iHeartMedia EVP of Global Music Marketing and her awesome Taste of Hope Committee members — Steve Bartels, CEO of Def Jam; Tom Corson, President & COO of RCA Records; Shawn “Pecas” Costner, VP of Player Relations at Roc Nation Sports; Bruce Gearhart, President at Bacchus Importers, LTD.; Peter Gray, GM & EVP of Promotion & Media at Warner Bros. Records; Richard Palmese, CEO of Palmese Entertainment at Azoff Music Group; Antonio “L.A.” Reid, Chairman & CEO at Epic Records; Marcus Grant, Manager at TwentyThree12; Dave Dyer, SVP of Promotion at Warner Bros. Records; Mike Easterlin, President of Roadrunner Records and Greg Thompson, President of Maverick Music.
As Ms. Pollack recounted to RAMP, “I still can’t get over the amazing turnout for this year’s Taste of Hope! I am so proud to not only have the most inspirational and amazing committee but, to also be part of an industry that is so generous. It’s such a unique event in that you will see friends and competitors alike across every facet of our industry coming together to support not one but two great causes. With the recording breaking money raised at Taste of Hope, we are collectively making a difference in the fight against Cancer, AIDS and Diabetes and, we are bringing the healing power of music to the bedsides of hundreds of patients through the Jason Pollack Bedside Performance program with Musicians on Call. I am so thankful to everyone who continues to support the event year after year.”
