Allen Returns To Sacto Radio
Longtime Sacramento media fixture Mark S. Allen has been named the new morning show host for CBS Radio Hot AC KZZO (NOW 100.5)/Sacramento, effective Monday, April 3. He succeeds Todd Baker, who left in November. This marks a triumphant return to KZZO for Allen, who previously did afternoon drive there from 2010-2015. He also worked at KSFM (FM102) back in the day. “Being back on NOW 100.5 is a fantastic homecoming,” said Allen. “I’m looking forward to being back on radio, especially on such a strong, vital station.”
Chad Rufer, VP of Programming for CBS Radio Sacramento and PD of NOW 100.5 remarked, “Mark is one of the hardest working people in show business,” said “I’m beyond excited to have one of the most popular personalities in Sacramento back on the NOW team and waking up the market.” Steve Cottingim, SVP/Market Manager, CBS Radio Sacramento commented, “We’re all excited to have Mark back on NOW. His energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the community is unmatched.”
To bookend his new afternoon radio show, Allen will continue his role on Morning Blend on KXTV (ABC 10). In his not-so-spare time Allen also hosts his weekly movie show, Extra Butter.
