Zakk Joins iHeart Rochester/Syracuse

• We teased this news in Monday’s RAMP, mostly because its accurate… and now it’s official – iHeartMedia Upstate New York welcomes major market veteran Dominic “Zakk” Zaccagnini aboard as PD of FM Talk WAIO (Radio 95.1) & NewsRadio WHAM 1180/Rochester and Talk 570 WSYR/Syracuse.

Zakk (pictured) most recently programmed Cumulus Classic Rock KSAN (107.7 The Bone)/San Francisco and handled pre-game host duties for the Kansas City Chiefs on KCFX/Kansas City until last June, when he returned home to Pittsburgh for family reasons. Prior to joining The Bone as APD/afternoons in July 2015 (and upped to PD a year later), Zakk was APD/afternoon talent at Cumulus Classic Rock sister WLUP (97.9 The Loop)/Chicago and morning host for FOX Sports Radio. He began his career at WRRK/Pittsburgh and is a graduate of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
