Mendlinger Now EVP, Republic & Pres., Imperial

• Republic Records has promoted Glenn Mendlinger to EVP of Republic Records and President of Imperial Music, as announced by Co-Founders Monte Lipman and Avery Lipman. Over the past two years, Mendlinger has proven instrumental to the launch and subsequent success of Imperial — in 2021 alone, Imperial achieved sales of 7 million adjusted albums and 10 billion global streams. Among many milestones, Bo Burnham‘s Inside (The Songs) won the Grammy® for “Best Song Written for Visual Media” for “All Eyes On Me” and was nominated for “Best Music Film” for Inside. Recent Imperial signing Stray Kids just debuted #1 on the Billboard Top 200, the biggest sales week of 2022, with ODDINARY.

Monte Lipman said, “In a very short period of time, Imperial has achieved historic milestones under Glenn’s leadership. The New York-based Mendlinger is part of the executive leadership team at Republic and is involved in The Chemical Brothers, who he brought over to Republic when he joined, and Swedish House Mafia, who last week released their first album in over 10 years. Before joining Republic Records and Imperial, Mendlinger spent 21 years at Astralwerks, serving as GM since 2006 and signing Halsey in 2014. Prior to Astralwerks, he worked at EastWest and Virgin Records.
