Ferrarro Named PD of WCHD/Dayton

Stand by for the official quote-filled press release, but RAMP has gone ahead and confirmed that Gina Ferraro has been named as the new PD and afternoon drive personality on iHeartMedia Top 40 WCHD (Channel 99.9)/Dayton, OH.

The new gig entails a simple stroll across the hall and a slight adjustment of the alarm clock for Ferraro (pictured), a Dayton native who since July 2013 had worked across the hall on Hot AC sister WMMX (Mix 107.7) as the “Gina” portion of the Jeff, Gina & Dave morning show. Former Mix midday personality Kristi has been upped to succeed Ferraro on the newly rebranded Jeff, Kristi & Dave morning show.

Ferraro began her radio career in Dayton in 2002, co-hosting mornings on WKEF, nights on WGTZ and news reporting on WHIO. She was also an entertainment news reporter for ABC 22/Fox 45 in Dayton until 2008 when she moved to Chicago, working at WLIT, WUSN (US 99) and WGN-AM until returning home four years ago.
