Pros On The Loose

• A consolidation of duties results in Kenny King exiting as PD of iHeartMedia AC WASH/Washington, DC and Adult Hits WQSR (102.7 Jack FM)/Baltimore after three years. King is probably best known for his successful 15-year run as OM/PD of crosstown WRQX until 2012.

His previous major programming stops include WJZW/Washington, WAXQ/New York, WRRK/Pittsburgh, WAVF/Charleston, SC and Classic Rock WVRX (now WMAL)/Washington. King can now be reached at kennyking1@me.com.

• Abramson Ready To Rock: Noted Rock God Mark Abramson is now open to some exciting new opportunities! Abramson, seen here in his natural habitat, spent the past two years as Head of Promotion for The Century Label Group, but he’s probably best known and loved for his 21-year stint at Roadrunner Records/Roadrunner Promotion, where he rose to as VP of Rock Promotion.

Adding some extra spice to the mix, Abramson also worked at TVT and the Enclave, in case you need that. We can reliably verify that Mr. Abramson is wide awake, chatty and eager to get back at it — he can be reached at 917-825-4725 or mark.abramson4@gmail.com.

• Well, this sucks — veteran programmer Mike Scott has exited his position as Operations Manager for Midwest Communications’ four-station cluster in Lansing, MI and Brand Manager/afternoon personality at Classic Hits WLMI. Scott arrived in Lansing a year ago, transitioning from the OM post with Krol Communications’ Classic Rock WRSR (103.9 The Fox)/Flint, MI.

Scott is a Detroit native who has 35 years of valuable experience, 29 of those in the Detroit market. His previous programming stops include Cumulus Country WNNF (NASH FM 94-1)/Cincinnati and 12 years as Asst. OM/APD/MD and midday talent for CBS Radio Country WYCD/Detroit. Scott is now seeking an immediate full-time opportunity (preferably in Michigan), but he will consider other markets as well. He can be reached at onairmichael@gmail.com.
