PRPD Board Adds Aguilar & Kimball
• The Board of Directors of the Pittsburgh-based PRPD (Public Radio Program Directors Association) announced the election of two new board members and a change to the executive committee. Please welcome new board members Ernesto Aguilar, Director of Radio Programming, KQED/San Francisco and Lindsay Kimball, Program Director, The Current, Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN.
Aguilar joined KQED in 2021 after serving as Executive Director of the National Federation of Community Broadcasters for five years. Kimball started her career at The Current as an intern in 2005, moving up to APD, then to Director of Regional Membership before becoming Program Director.
Aguilar and Kimball were elected at the December 1 board meeting and start their first three-year terms on January 1, 2023. The PRPD Board of Directors also elected a new Executive Committee: Chair Jeff Ramirez, independent; Secretary Ele Ellis, Content Director, WUWM/Milwaukee; and Treasurer Matt Martinez, Producer, The Assignment with Audie Cornish.
