Roger & JP & CMG Mutually Extend
• Cox Media Group announced that the long-running, top-rated Roger & JP radio show, hosted by Roger Luce and JP Parise just inked sweet a new four-year deal that keeps them in mornings on Classic Rock 102.3 WBAB/Nassau-Suffolk and in middays on Hot Talk sister WHPT (102.5 The Bone)/Tampa.
Luce (left) and Parise (right) took over mornings on WBAB in 2000 and were annexed by 102.5 The Bone in 2015. Over the years they have helped mobilize relief efforts after 9/11 and Superstorm Sandy; helped the community make it through the COVID pandemic; raising funds for Hope For The Warriors; providing toys for sick children and food for military veterans; and much more.
“Roger & JP have been entertaining and informing Long Islanders for the past 22 years,” said Katelin Tinley, VP/GM of CMG Long Island. “We could not be happier to continue this highly rated morning show for another four years. Roger & JP are passionate, smart and know what the audience wants, and they deliver.”
Chris Eagan, CMG VP of Audience & Operations added, “Roger & JP simply dominate Long Island and Tampa radio. They’re both deeply committed to those stations, and the audience and our advertisers can feel it every day.”
Luce remarked, “Long Island is our home — it’s part of who we are. To have another four years at this heritage Classic Rock station, 102.3 WBAB, and at our second home at 102.5 The Bone in Tampa, is a great source of pride and joy for us.” Parise jokingly added, “They roped us into another four years of live midday shows at 102.5 The Bone in Tampa too. Send help!”
