Hill Bailey Ready For What’s Next

• Changes are afoot inside Tucson Radio Classic Hits KDRI (101.7/830 The Drive)/Tucson, as the station prepares for its impending sale and transition to new owner Bustos Media — RAMP has confirmed that Hill Bailey, co-host of the Bobby & Bailey Morning Show alongside market legend Bobby Rich since The Drive launched in August 2019, will be leaving. As for Mr. Rich, President of Tucson Radio, LLC, he is expected to make his own announcement very soon.

Bailey first arrived in Tucson in 1987 and got her first radio break at the campus radio station at the University of Arizona, followed by KFMA. She went on to work at KILO, KVUU & KKMG/Colorado Springs; KTCL/Denver; KWOD and KZZO/Sacramento & KKJG/San Luis Obispo, CA before returning to Tucson, where she worked at Cumulus Classic Hits KHYT before joining The Drive. Bailey has also worked as a national air personality for Westwood One.

RAMP caught up with Bailey, who has actually been handling her half of the show from her home studio in South Carolina since last August. “I am heartbroken to see this come to an end,” she told us. “Mornings with Bobby have been more fun than an indoor trampoline park — also less strenuous! I’m hoping to land on my feet soon.” Looking ahead, Bailey can be easily reached at 520-425-4255 or hillary.jordan@gmail.com.
