WTDY/Philly Downshifts To Hot AC

• After several days of stunting in tribute to Taylor Swift (“96.5 TAY”), Audacy Top 40 WTDY/Philadelphia has transitioned to Hot AC and rebranded as “The New 96.5,” sporting the new slogan “Feel Good Variety.”

Along with the name and musical adjustments, there has been some personnel changes … except for mornings, where 10-year station vet Michael Bennett remains in the lead-off spot. The midday shift is now tracked by Vanessa “V” Hale, who is based in middays at KLLC (Alice @ 97.3)/San Francisco, followed by Mike Adam, who will handle afternoon drive from the comfort of Hot AC sister WNEW/New York. Adam is already a familiar voice in the Philly market — he previously worked on 96.5 in its earlier incarnation as Top 40 WZMP (96.5 AMP Radio) in 2015-16 and at WIOQ (Q102) from 2012-14 in his earlier incarnation as “Prolifik.” Audacy syndicated personality Bru remains in nights.
