Capitol Records Names Dual SVPs Of Creative
• Targa Sahyoun and Nick Steinhardt have been named Senior Vice Presidents of Creative for Capitol Records, the flagship label of Capitol Music Group (CMG). In their new roles, Sahyoun (left) and Steinhardt (right) will co-lead Capitol’s creative department, with Sahyoun overseeing music video and visual content production, and Steinhardt art direction, for Capitol’s full roster of superstar, established and developing artists.
Both executives are based at the famous Capitol Tower in Hollywood and report to CMG President Arjun Pulijal, who commented, “I’ve been fortunate to work closely with Nick and Targa for many years, and I couldn’t be more thrilled that they are now co-heading Capitol Records’ Creative department. Visual creative is essential to the beating heart of every project — Nick and Targa are both artist-first creatives with experience and individual distinction that makes them uniquely poised to oversee the verticals that comprise a forward-thinking creative department. Together and in their respective areas of expertise, they will oversee a revitalized, cohesive creative team, responsible for innovative ideation and execution on behalf of Capitol’s artists and projects.”
Sahyoun joined Capitol in 2014 and was most recently Capitol’s Senior Vice President of Video Production. Sahyoun previously worked for Columbia Records, rising to Director of Video Production in Los Angeles. Steinhardt segues into his new role after heading his own boutique creative design firm, 23in, and working at SMOG Design, a company owned by highly respected creative executive Jeri Heiden.
