Now Entering Cat Country: Mason Stanfield
• Cumulus keeps it in the family and taps Mason Stanfield as the new PD/morning co-host for Country KATC (Cat Country 95.1)/Colorado Springs, CO. He will succeed Bo Jaxon, who was recently named co-host of the Bee Morning Coffee Club on Audacy Country WBEE/Rochester, NY.
Stanfield earns the transfer and upgrade from his morning spot on Country cousin 101.1 KRMD/Shreveport, LA, where he has worked since January 2020. Stanfield previously worked for Adams Radio Group in Las Cruces, NM as MD/afternoon personality for Country KGRT, and PD/morning host for Classic Rock KSNM. His previous career stops include mornings at KAUS/Rochester, MN and KBVC/Salida, CO.
Bobby Irwin, Operations Manager of Cumulus Colorado Springs, said, “Mason brings a wicked passion for Country music to Cat Country 95.1, and 15 years of experience as a No. 1-rated morning host and Program Director. Plus, he was raised in the Denver area, and promised if the Nuggets ever won a national title he would return — apparently, he’s a man of his word! We’re fortunate to have an energetic, community-minded, Country music-lovin’ team on KATC, and Mason will be a remarkable new quarterback for us!”
Stanfield commented, “I couldn’t be more excited to work for such an amazing station like Cat Country 95.1 and to be surrounded by so many incredible people. I can’t wait!” Cat Country 95.1 Morning with Wendy & Mason rolls weekdays from 5-10am. Stanfield can be congratulated at mason.stanfield@cumulus.com.
