Pre-Holiday People/Format Moves

• RAMP has confirmed that Jared Hart has exited as PD of Entercom News-Talk WPHT-AM/Philadelphia after 5 1/2 years on the job. We understand that Spike Eskin, PD of Sports-Talk clustermate WIP (SportsRadio 94WIP) will annex WPHT PD responsibilities.

It was concurrently announced that Producer Greg Stocker has been promoted to APD of WPHT and will handle day-to-day programming responsibilities, reporting to Eskin.

Hart was named PD of WPHT in November 2013, earning his shot at the big chair after a cross-country move from his APD position at Cumulus News-Talk KGO/San Francisco. Before that he was Chris Stigall‘s morning show producer at Cumulus News-Talk KCMO-AM/Kansas City.

• RAMP has also learned that Entravision will be making some major moves in Sacramento on Monday, July 8, starting with Country KNTY (101.9 The Wolf) flipping to Regional Mexican. And that means the end of the road for longtime PD Tosh Jackson, MD/Promotions Director Alex Guerra, midday personality Kimmy Kay and evening entertainer Tracy Leighann (Brimmer). The syndicated Ty Bentli Show aired in morning drive, and RJ McCoy was tracking the afternoon show.

We understand that Jackson and Guerra will remain with the company through the end of July, but they will be seeking new employment. Reach Jackson at deejaytosh@gmail.com. Reach Kimmy Kay at AKeek1994@yahoo.com and Tracy Leighann at TracyBrimmer@yahoo.com. The pending flip will leave Bonneville Country KNCI alone in the format.

• Rumors are also circulating about a similar scenario affecting Rhythmic sibling KHHM (Hot 103.5). Stay tuned.
