PK New PD @ ALT 92.1

Times-Shamrock Alternative WFUZ (ALT 92.1)/Wilkes Barre-Scranton, PA just introduced its new PD, and it’s a familiar name — Phil “PK” Kukawinski, who was most recently APD/MD/midday personality at Bell Media Alternative CIMX (89X)/Windsor-Detroit. The announcement was made by PK’s new boss, Mitch Dolan, COO of Times-Shamrock Radio & Outdoor.

Kukawinski (left) is a Michigan native and a 2011 graduate of Oakland University who began his radio career as a programmer for AOL Radio, responsible for the Top Indie, New Indie First, Indietronica and Indie Party channels. In 2013 he joined 89X/Detroit where he rose through the programming department to APD/MD and midday talent. Kukawinski commented, “I’m very excited to be a part of ALT 92.1. I’m grateful to be joining such a fantastic group at Times-Shamrock and look forward to working with the entire Scranton Radio team. I’m eager to get started with this new stage in my life and career and am absolutely ready to help build the new ALT 92.1.”
