Four Hubbards Make MN Broadcasters HOF
• Four members of broadcasting’s esteemed Hubbard family will be inducted into the Minnesota Broadcasters Hall of Fame this fall — siblings Stan E. Hubbard, Chairman & CEO of Hubbard Broadcasting; Ginny (Hubbard) Morris), Chair & CEO of Hubbard Radio; Robert W. Hubbard, President of Hubbard’s Television division; and Kari Hubbard-Rominski, Executive Director of the Hubbard Broadcasting Foundation have been announced as members of the Class of 2024.
As local ABC affiliate KSTP-TV reports, this will mark a third generation of Hubbard family members to be enshrined in the hall — their father, Stanley S. Hubbard, and grandfather, company founder Stanley E. Hubbard, were charter inductees into the Hall of Fame in 2001.
Other members of the Class of 2024 are: Walter “Q Bear” Banks of non-comm 89.9 KMOJ, former local columnist and broadcaster Bill Diehl, longtime WCCO/Minneapolis political reporter Pat Kessler, and broadcast engineer mentors Mark and Paula Persons.
The Class of ’24 will be officially inducted during a ceremony in Rochester, MN on Oct. 1. For more details, please go HERE.
