Luna Joins Vida Unida As Nat’l PD
• Hope Media Group’s Spanish language network, Vida Unida welcomes Tony Luna as its new Network Program Director. Luna brings with him three decades of experience in Spanish language radio — he formerly programmed Audacy’s KLOL (Mega 101)/Houston, followed by a successful run leading SBS’ WSKQ (Mega 97.9) and WPAT (Amor 93.1)/New York.
Luna remarked, “I’m incredibly excited to join the amazing team at Vida Unida. As a deacon with over 30 years of experience in radio, I’m delighted by this opportunity to work with such a passionate group of individuals. Together, we will continue to spread messages of hope and faith through our uplifting music and programming. I can’t wait to connect with our listeners and be a part of this wonderful community, sharing the Gospel’s transformative power with everyone.”
Luna steps into this newly-created role amidst Vida Unida’s rapid market expansion — in just two years, Vida Unida has grown from a single radio station into a network that broadcasts locally in Miami, Houston & New York City and in over 15 other markets on HD2. It was concurrently announced that Sadiel Castro will transition to full-time morning co-host on Myrka en la Manana, alongside Myrka Dellanos.
Scott Herrold, Chief of Programming at Hope Media Group, commented, “Tony Luna’s extensive radio background in two of our most prominent markets positioned him perfectly for this role. Yet, it was his dedication to coaching and fostering community involvement that truly distinguished him from the other candidates. I’ve already received glowing feedback from numerous radio personalities who attest that Tony is one of the best bosses with whom they have ever worked.”
Luna starts in early June and will be based at Vida Unida’s Houston HQ.
