Deanna Marie Takes Nights At WJXA/Nashville

• Midwest Communications AC WJXA (Mix 92.9)/Nashville has filled its evening opening with the hire of format veteran Deanna Marie, with a start date of July 15.

“We took our time with the search and found the perfect person to take nights to the next level,” said OM Barbara Bridges. “She’s the right fit for our audience and her warm upbeat delivery and talent for connecting to the target audience will be an ideal complement to our successful brand.”

Deanna is a New Jersey native and graduate of Montclair State University who started her radio career as morning co-host on Top 40 KLCA (Alice 96.5)/Reno, NV. From there she became the co-host of Deanna and Justin In The Morning with Justin Franiak on Beasley’s now former WJBR (Mix 99.5)/Wilmington, DE. More recently she’s been anchoring weekends/swing at Beasley Active Rock 93.3 WMMR and Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK/Philadelphia, and AC WMJQ (Magic 98.3)/Somerset, NJ.

“I’m so excited to join this legendary brand and create something new and exciting at night!” Deanna exclaimed.

• Deanna succeeds former Mix evening duo Anna Marie De La Vega (a 25-year Mix veteran) and Karyce Garcia. Anna Marie is now semi-retired and moving to part-time.
