Global superstar Miley Cyrus brought “Malibu” to New York City this week in a terrifically inventive fashion, as she basically took over NBC. Of course she did… She’s Miley. Alert eyewitnesses report multiple Miley sightings in the hallways and elevators at NBC’s 30 Rock headquarters as Miley darted everywhere, appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday, May 16 to announce her upcoming takeover, and then she spent all day Wednesday, May 17 popping up on Today, Access Hollywood Live, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and again on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Miley certainly had a valid reason to spread the love during this unique promotional lovefest — since its release last Thursday, Miley’s new RCA single “Malibu” has hit No. 1 at iTunes in over 35 countries and the music video has surpassed 40 million views in a matter of days.
And Miley’s national media tour continues… she will perform “Malibu” for the first time on TV this Sunday on The Billboard Music Awards. She will also return to New York on Friday, May 26 to perform on the Today show’s Citi Concert Series, and she lands in Miami on Friday, June 9 and Saturday, June 10 as she hits the stage at the iHeartSummer ’17 Weekend by AT&T at Fontainebleau Miami Beach.
