KLOS/LA Inks Nik Carter For PM Drive

• Meruelo Media’s 95.5 KLOS/Los Angeles is proud to announce the hire of rock radio/television veteran and VO pro Nik Carter, who just landed at LAX from JFK to take over afternoon drive, starting Monday, Feb. 3.

Pio Ferro, SVP of Audio Brands at Meruelo Media, remarked, “Nik Carter is the shot of adrenaline KLOS has been waiting for. He’s got the swagger, the stories, and the passion for rock ‘n’ roll radio that defines our station. He’s the voice of the people who live and breathe this music, and he’s going to be a perfect fit to take KLOS into the next chapter.”

Carter is in demand as a voice actor, talk host and on-camera talent who spent the past eight years with SiriusXM in various roles, lending his skills to Volume, Faction, and Classic Rewind. He has also served as the imaging voice of WXRT/Chicago, WBOS/Boston, WTGB/Washington, and WNEW.com, to name a few. Carter earlier hosted On Tap With Nik Carter on VH-1 Classic, did afternoons on the former WRXP/New York, afternoons and middays on the former WXRK (92.3 K-Rock)/New York and afternoons at the late, legendary WBCN/Boston. He started his major market career in 1989 at the late WFNX/Boston.
