• Zelus Media Rhythmic KKFR (Power 98.3)/Phoenix is proud as heck to announce that the honorable Mr. Deongello “Gello” Vanorsby, host of Gello in the Afternoon, has been duly elevated to Assistant Program Director.

Fully equipped with nearly two decades of radio experience, including a major market stint at Beasley Classic Hip Hop WMGC (105.1 The Bounce)/Detroit, Gello originally broke into radio as an intern at KKFR back in the day. His influence, both on-air and behind the scenes, has been instrumental in shaping Power 98.3’s connection with the community and its commitment to delivering the best in hip-hop entertainment.

“Gello is such an important piece of Power,” says Power 98.3 Program Director J Steele. “His charisma, leadership, and dedication to our community contribute to the success of our brand. Having someone on the programming team who understands the mission and execution is key to our success, and no one gets it better than Gello.”

Barely able to contain his excitement about the new role, Gello exclaimed, “Yessir! After 17 years in radio, I’m thrilled to step into this new role as Assistant Program Director. It’s been an incredible journey filled with highs and lows, and I can’t wait to make an even bigger impact. Here’s to new adventures and the magic of radio!”
