Saga Makes Keene Cable Play

• Saga Communications announced the appointment of Randy Cable as Vice President & General Manager of its Monadnock Media Group, serving the Keene, NH market, succeeding Bob LeRette, who is retiring.

The move is a return to Saga for Cable, a 30-year media executive who earlier in his career worked for Saga as VP/Market Manager for Asheville, NC. Cable most recently served as Regional Director of Sales for Beasley Tampa and Ft. Myers. Before that he was Integrated Sales Manager with Cox Media Group’s Miami and Jacksonville radio properties, Market Manager for CMG Greenville, SC and Director of Sales, and later, Market Manager for Entercom Greenville.

“We believe there is an unprecedented opportunity to increase revenue in our local communities by being true advisors to the businesses we serve,” said Saga COO Wayne Leland. “Local businesses are spending far more on digital than they do on radio, yet most don’t have a local media advisor who truly understands how to connect those dollars to real consumer actions. Randy sees this opportunity the same way we do, and we’re excited to have him lead the way in Keene.”

Cable’s leadership will be instrumental in implementing Saga’s Blended Digital Advertising strategy — following the journey of the consumer as they want, search, find and choose the local business. “I’m thrilled to be back at Saga at such an exciting time,” said Cable. “The way local businesses buy advertising has changed, and so has the way we sell it. Saga understands that success isn’t about selling a product, it’s about delivering real, measurable business outcomes. That’s exactly the kind of company I want to be part of, and exactly the kind of leadership I look forward to bringing to Keene.”
