Robyn Taylor Unplugs From WPDH

• After a three-month hiatus from the morning show on Townsquare Classic Rock 101.5 WPDH/Poughkeepsie, NY due to medical issues, morning co-host — and 30-year station veteran — Robyn Taylor returned to the studio this week to break the news that she was officially stepping away from the microphone to focus on her health and enjoy a much-deserved retirement.

Taylor has co-hosted the Boris & Robyn Show for over 11 years, preceded by a 20-year stint in middays. She had a brief early run at WPDH in the early ’80s before going on to work on several other Hudson Valley radio stations, before returning to WPDH for good in 1995.

In a statement, her co-host Boris said, “It’s been a bummer doing the show without Robyn, and I’ve been in denial for a while, keeping The Boris and Robyn Show going in hopes that she would come back. But I know this is the best thing for her and I’m happy that she is able to go out on her own terms and enjoy a well-earned retirement.”

After a two-week vacation, the morning show will return on July 28 “with a slightly new, yet familiar name,” while the search for a new co-host continues. The position is posted on the Townsquare Careers page.
