Buffalo Pro “J.P.” Returns To The Big WECK
J.P. took a leave of absence about a year ago to care for his aging mother, but is now ready to return with the show he has been doing for decades. J.P. remarked, “Mom has been doing terrific, and life as a caretaker has become a bit more feasible for me, so the first thing I wanted to do is to get back on the radio with what I hear is the second-longest-running Beatles show in America.” He added, “I’ll still be continuing to care for mom, but carving out some time to put together and host The Fab Four.”
J.P. has been a staple on Buffalo radio since the late ’70s, with earlier stints on legendary local Classic Rock stations like WYSL, WPHD, WBYR, and WGRF, before making the switch to The BIG WECK.
BIG WECK owner Buddy Shula said, “I could not be happier for fans of the Beatles or J.P. I admire him in many ways, and we are glad to have the show back where it belongs. J.P. gave me my very first job on the radio back in 1983, and has always been a mentor to me.”
