Maximum Harmony At c89.5/Seattle

• Influential non-comm Dance/EDM-focused KNHC (c89.5)/Seattle is pleased to announce the appointment of Harmony Soleil as its new Program Director. She succeeds Ron Chatman, who retired from c89.5 in March of this year.

Soleil has been with the station since 2005 serving as an on-air personality, Advanced Radio Instructor, and Social Media Manager. In her most recent role as APD/MD, Soleil helped lead c89.5 to a series of record high ratings, creating new shows and podcasts.

“We are excited to welcome Harmony as our new Program Director,” said June Fox, General Manager of c89.5. “Harmony’s commitment to excellence and dedication to the legacy of c89.5 will be instrumental in strengthening our reputation as the best Dance music radio station in the country.”

Soleil started her radio career as a broadcast student at c89.5’s headquarters, Nathan Hale High School, where she served as Student Music Director. As a student at the University of Washington, Soleil earned a degree in Media Communications and helped found U-Wave Radio. She went on to work at Classical KING-FM, and all of Hubbard’s Seattle stations.

“I am beyond honored to take this position of leadership at c89.5,” said Soleil. “Words cannot express the excitement I feel for both myself and c89.5 as we move into this new chapter. This radio station, music community and city all mean so much to me, and I look forward to representing the many facets of c89.5 in a thoughtful, equitable, and forward-thinking manner.”
