Brody Smith On The Loose
• Brody Smith is now available, as he exits his position as Executive Producer of Audacy’s Katie & Company after 2 1/2 years due to restructuring.
Smith is 25-year broadcast pro whose early stops included KC101/New Haven and WQGN/New London, CT. He originally spent nine years at iHeartMedia Top 40 WDCG (G105), followed by a stint as PD of Top 40 sister WLDI/West Palm Beach from 2012-2015. He then returned to G105 for a two-year run as Executive Producer/co-host of Bob & the Showgram before accepting the transfer to KSNE (Sunny 106.5)/Las Vegas as APD/afternoons in May 2018. More recently Smith programmed locally owned Country WKJO/Raleigh, and for the past five years has produced the Sandals PalmCast for Sandals Resorts.
RAMP caught up with Brody, who told us, “I’ve avoided getting laid off in radio for the last 25 years until last Thursday morning. From that standpoint I consider myself pretty lucky. This opportunity in Nashville was a blessing in so many ways, where I not only made some close friendships but learned so much more about myself.
