Farrell Named VP/MM, CMG Miami

• Cox Media Group (CMG) has tapped 22-year company veteran Jimmy Farrell as Vice President & Market Manager of CMG Miami Radio — Soft AC WFEZ (Easy 93.1), Rhythmic Hot AC WFLC (Hits 97.3), Urban WEDR (99 JAMZ), and Urban AC WHQT (Hot 105) — effective immediately. Farrell will succeed Ralph Renzi, who has led CMG Miami Radio since 2017 and is leaving the company to pursue a new opportunity.

Farrell earns the transfer and market upgrade from CMG Jacksonville, where he has served as VP/Market Manager since August 2022. Over that time, Farrell and his team raised over $1 million for the Child Cancer Fund of Jacksonville, had WAPE win a 2023 Marconi Award for CHR Station of the Year, and achieved record high rating shares in 2025. Farrell originally joined CMG in 2003 as an Account Executive in Orlando and worked his way up to Local Sales Manager for WWKA (K92), to GSM, and Director of Sales. The Miami move marks a radio homecoming for Farrell, who started his career as an intern for CMG Miami while earning his bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami.
