Tom Nankival Circles Back To Saga

• Saga Communications is proud to announce the return of Tom Nankival as the new VP/General Manager of the company’s eight-station Harrisonburg, VA group, which includes the hyper-local online news site RockTownNow.com and a full suite of digital advertising assets. He replaces Kim Mitchell.

“Tom understands what makes local media matter,” said Wayne Leland, COO of Saga Communications. “His role at Harrisonburg Media Group positions us to grow our brands and expand the value we deliver to our listeners, readers, and advertisers. We’re excited to have him leading the team.”

Nankival segues from Mid-West Family Marketing & Media, where he had served as VP of Sales for Indiana and Michigan since May, but he’s a very familiar presence within the Saga family, having earlier served as GM for Saga’s groups in Springfield, IL and Des Moines, IA, and as GSM for Saga’s Jonesboro, AR cluster. Nankival’s other management roles include GM & GSM with Clarke Broadcasting in Sonora, CA, GSM with the La Crosse Radio Group in La Crosse, WI, and GM for Adams Radio Group in Las Cruces, NM.
