Condolences: K105’s Doug James

Bill Kelly, VP/Market Manager, Cumulus Youngstown issued the following statement: “We mourn the loss of our dear friend and colleague, Doug James, morning co-host, K105, who passed away on Thursday, January 8, at the age of 71 after a brief illness.”
“Doug was a beloved member of the K105 on-air team since 1989, and shared the K105 morning mic with co-host Mary Ann Graff since 1991. He was a graduate of Springfield High School and an alumnus of Youngstown State University. Doug loved all of K-Country and was passionate about the music, the artists, the listeners, and our community, and was a devout supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis. He believed helping our community of listeners was as important as having them listen daily. Doug set the standard for morning radio in the Valley. He will be profoundly missed by all of us at Cumulus Youngstown. We send our heartfelt condolences to his family and his many friends.”
K105 has posted a remembrance of James, noting that memorial contributions can be made in James’ name to St. Jude.
