Moving Day For Bay Country & K-Fox
• Last week Connoisseur Media announced it has reached an agreement to sell its 94.5 FM signal licensed to Gilroy, CA (currently broadcasting as KBAY-FM and home to the company’s Bay Country format) to Christian broadcaster K-Love, Inc. for $2 million. The announcement noted that the KBAY-FM calls and intellectual property would be retained by Connoisseur and the format moved to a new location.
That question has now been answered, as Bay Country is now promoting its impending move to 98.5, the current home of Classic Rock sibling KUFX (98.5 K-Fox)/San Jose. The station’s social media posts note that the big frequency change will happen at 12 noon next Wednesday, July 22. Bay Country will retain its existing simulcast partner on 92.1 KKDV/Walnut Creek, CA.
Meanwhile, K-Fox announced its Classic Rock format will be simultaneously relocating to two new spots — 98.5 KUFX-HD2 in San Jose, and 99.7 KMVQ-HD3/San Francisco, along with the K-Fox mobile app and KFOX.com. Hey, thanks for listening.
