Abernethy Named Chair Of BFOA Golf Tourney
• Jack Abernethy, CEO of FOX Television Stations, will serve as Chair of the Broadcasters Foundation of America’s (BFOA) 2026 Celebrity Golf Tournament, taking place Monday, Sept. 14, at Siwanoy Country Club in Bronxville, NY.
The Celebrity Golf Tournament is the BFOA’s second-largest annual fundraiser, attracting leaders and celebrities from broadcasting, entertainment, and sports to support the Foundation’s ongoing mission of providing financial assistance to radio and television professionals facing acute hardship caused by a debilitating illness or disaster.
“For 28 years, the BFOA Celebrity Golf Tournament has brought our industry together for a day of camaraderie, competition, and compassion,” said Tim McCarthy, President of the BFOA. “We’re grateful to have Jack’s leadership as Chair this year. His commitment to our mission will help make this another outstanding event while raising critical funds to assist broadcasters facing extraordinary challenges.”
