Rivers Named APD, WSOC & WKQC/Charlotte
• Nick Rivers has joined Beasley Charlotte as APD for WSOC (Country 103.7) and AC WKQC (K104.7), starting Aug. 24. He will also anchor afternoon drive on Country 103.7, filling the opening created by Charlie & Debbie‘s recent move to mornings.
Rivers brings nearly two decades of radio experience to the role, including the past 6 1/2 years with Hubbard Radio West Palm Beach as APD/MD for WIRK (New Country 103.1) and Classic Hits WEAT (Sunny 107.9) while also doing afternoons on WIRK and nights on WUBE/Cincinnati.
The appointment also marks a return to the Charlotte market for Rivers, whose radio career began there with Clear Channel nearly 20 years ago. He has also held programming positions in Greensboro, and Brunswick and Savannah, GA.
