Mia Amor Drives Bay Area Home On KBLX

• Connoisseur Media Bay Area has announced the addition of market veteran Mia Amor to afternoon drive on Urban AC 102.9 KBLX/San Francisco, beginning Monday, Oct. 19, joining a staff that includes Freska & Big Reid in the morning, and Billy Vidal in middays.

San Jose native Amor is already a familiar radio presence in the Bay Area, thanks to previous stints in mornings for Audacy Rhythmic KSFM/Sacramento and middays on Classic Hip Hop KRBQ (102 Jams)/San Francisco. She most recently did middays at iHeartMedia Classic Hip Hop KHYL (V101.1)/Sacramento.

Amor began her career as an intern at KYLD (Wild 94.9)/San Francisco and later worked at KDON/Salinasand co-hosted mornings at KVEG (Hot 97.5)/Las Vegas. She joined KRBQ when it launched in 2015 under previous owner Entercom, adding KSFM in May 2018.

“Mia is the perfect choice for 102.9,” said “Jazzy Jim” Archer, Program Director of 102.9 KBLX. “She’s Bay Area through and through, and that connection is something you can’t teach. She knows the people, the culture and the energy that make this community so special because she’s lived it her entire life.  Mia brings an incredible spirit, genuine warmth and a dynamic presence to everything she does.  We’re thrilled to welcome her to the 102.9 family and bring her energy to afternoons.”
