Good Grammer Always In Style
Yes, the RAMP boys stayed out too late again last week, this time hobnobbing at Hollywood’s ultra-awesome Hyde Sunset Kitchen + Cocktails on the Sunset Strip to enjoy a special showcase by Andy Grammer to feature some new songs from his upcoming album. Backed by a large and amazingly animated band, Grammer prefaced his performance by sharing his excitement and anticipation with the audience as he revealed his wife was about to give birth to the couple’s first child, half-joking that he might have to cut the show short and bolt if she went into labor. Thankfully, she didn’t.
The 45-minute set was a mix of the familiar and new, kicking off with “Head Up,” “Fine By Me” and “Fresh Eyes,” before Andy performed his new S-Curve/Hollywood single, “Give Love,” which he explained was inspired by his late mother. We are told that “Give Love” is now the fastest rising Andy Grammer single to date and is already #18* on the Mediabase Hot AC chart.
Grammer and band then powered through “Spaceship,” Good Parts,” and “Honey I’m Good” before bringing it in for a landing with a rousing sing-along version of “Good To Be Alive (Hallelujah).” Grammer’s new album is due out this fall.
