Pros In Motion: Roth, Boyd & Wilcox
PD Mike Vasquez, said, “Robin Roth is a radio legend in San Diego and having her follow the best morning show on the planet (The DSC) is a huge win for us all.” Roth stated, “I’m so excited to do what I love in middays and following The DSC is a dream come true. Taking the baton from them every day is going to be an honor. Plus, now I get to enjoy the San Diego scene at night again!” Roth added, “I’m really excited about this new chapter in my career and am looking forward to working more closely with Mike V and the rest of the KFM-BFM radio family!” Look for Vasquez to announce his plan for the KFM-BFM night show in the next day or so.
Boyd (left) and Wilcox (right) have worked together for several years, most notably across the street at Entercom Hot AC KRSK (105.1 The Buzz) on the former Nelson & Terry morning show. More recently they were doing the Talk radio thing at KPAM-AM. KGON PD Chris Crowley remarked, “I’m thrilled to be able to bring Terry onboard. He’s a perfect fit, because he is the typical KGON listener; he lives that lifestyle. Being right in the middle of KGON’s male 25-54-year-old audience himself, he’s got a passion for community involvement and a slightly skewed point of view I think people will find refreshing and entertaining.” Iris Harrison, who celebrated 40 years with KGON earlier this year, is currently covering mornings and will return to her regular midday shift on July 31.
