• Good news for music lovers: Spotify and Warner Music Group have renewed their global partnership. The news was initially posted to WMG’s Instagram account yesterday.

Commenting on his renewed pact, WMG’s Chief Digital Officer Ole Obermann said, “It’s taken us a while to get here, but it’s been worth it, as we’ve arrived at a balanced set of future-focused deal terms. Together with Spotify, we’ve found inventive ways to reinforce the value of music, create additional benefits for artists, and excite their fans all over the world. Even with the current pace of growth, there’s still so much potential for music subscription to reach new audiences and territories.”


•  iHeartRadio yesterday launched the first-of-its-kind promotion with Snapchat, using Snap Map to give away tickets to the iHeartRadio Secret Sessions By AT&T ft. Lorde next Tuesday, Aug 29 at a secret location in Los Angeles. From August 23-27 iHeart is giving away a pair of tickets per day to the intimate live performance on August 29 at a secret location in L.A. Local fans can enter by finding iHeartRadio on Snap Map, represented by one of iHeartRadio’s Los Angeles on-air personalities’ Bitmojis (KIIS-FM‘s Tanya Rad and Freddy Rivera and ALT 98.7‘s Harms). While in the same geo-fence as the Bitmoji, fans can take a snap and use iHeartRadio’s exclusive iHeartRadio Secret Sessions By AT&T ft. Lorde filter, then either send the snap to the iHeartRadio account with #iHeartLorde and #iHeartContest or post the photo on Twitter or Instagram with #iHeartLorde and #iHeartContest.
