Ben Platt Signed To Atlantic

On the heels of his Tony Award as Best Leading Actor in a Musical for his starring role as Evan Hansen in the Tony Award-winning original Broadway musical, Dear Evan Hansen, Atlantic Records has signed Ben Platt. We already knew Platt could sing, based on his earlier appearances as the magic-loving Benji Applebaum in Pitch Perfect and Pitch Perfect 2, among other credits. Earlier this year, the Atlantic Records’ release of Dear Evan Hansen (Original Broadway Cast Recording) entered the Billboard 200 chart at No 8 — the highest charting debut position for an original cast album since 1961.
