Pros On The Loose

• Budget cuts have come calling at iHeartMedia’s Macon, GA cluster, resulting in the exit of SVP of Programming Brent Henslee, as his position is eliminated. Hensley (left) is a 22-year company vet who had been in his current position as OM of the nine-station Macon group since February 2014. Before that Henslee spent 14 years with iHeartMedia/Clear Channel in Texas as PD/afternoon talent on Active Rock KBRQ (102-5 The Bear)/Waco, TX and Active Rock sibling KLFX (The Fox Rocks)/Killeen-Temple.

Henslee said, “I’m grateful for my time spent in Macon and the relationships built within the building and in the community. I am now seeking new opportunities immediately, especially in the Carolinas!” You heard the man — interested parties are invited to reach out to Henslee at radiobrent478@gmail.com.

• We also understand that Macon Market President Thomas Bacote is also a free agent as his position was also eliminated. We hear his duties are being absorbed by Ivey Elam from iHeartMedia Augusta, GA.

• Jason “Tyler” Leucht has exited iHeartMedia Hot AC KJMY (My 99-5)/Salt Lake City as his afternoon drive position is eliminated. Leech (left) had arrived in SLC in February of this year, coming from Panama City, FL, where had done afternoons on Magic Broadcasting Top 40 WILN (Island 106), and nights and weekends on Powell Broadcasting rival WPFM (Hot 107.9).

We understand Tyler has a new gig all lined up and ready to announce soon. Watch this space!
