The Healing Process Begins Now
• Since the incident on Sunday night, Beasley’s Las Vegas stations have been on the air providing non-stop information. John Shaffer, News Director at News-Talk 720 KDWN and the KCYE team have been doing updates and encouraging people to donate blood through United Blood Service. Beasley has also suspended its National Cash Contest and will instead donate that money to an official victim’s fund.
• Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo and Clark County Commissioner Steve Sisolak have also set up a GoFundMe page that will provide “relief and financial support to the victims and families.” The current goal is set at $1,000,000. Beasley Media Group’s Community of Caring initiative is donating $5,000 dollars to the fund, and they encourage their listeners to donate whatever they can. Every donation matters and will make a difference.
• There is also a family update/information phone number (866-535-5654) and a dedicated Facebook page — The Violent Incident In Las Vegas — where individuals can check in as “safe” and others can find out if family members and friends are safe.
