Ft. Myers On The Comeback Trail
Broken Bow recording artist Brooke Eden and Stoney Creek recording artist Lindsay Ell highlighted Day 6 of the 4th annual Island Hopper Songwriter Festival in Southwest Florida, a major promotional boost for a region that is still recovering after Hurricane Irma. These talented BMI songwriters delivered a powerful performance in front of a packed house of Country music fans at Pinchers at the Marina in downtown Fort Myers. The 10-day Festival, presented by BMI, iHeartMedia and the Visitors and Convention Bureau of Lee County, began on Captiva Island last weekend, moved to downtown Fort Myers and hopped over to Fort Myers Beach this past weekend. The event featured over 80 BMI songwriters performing in more than 25 area venues. We all know that music heals, and the staff of WCKT (Cat Country 107.1)/Ft. Myers has been working hard on this ambitious event that has been helping local businesses and residents get back on their feet.
