Beverly Hills Stays Open For Gracie Awards

The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation (AWMF) proudly presented the 47th Annual Gracie Awards on Tuesday evening, May 24 at the swanky Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA.

• Some notable Gracie radio winners included Medha Gandhi, co-host of the Premiere-syndicated Elvis Duran & The Morning Show, who was honored as “Co-host, Radio Nationally Syndicated,” and commented, “I was often told by the higher ups in this industry that I was too different, too much of a tomboy, too nerdy, too outspoken, and not QUITE blonde enough to advance in this business. But, thanks to a few guardian angels who had some faith in me, here we are.”

• Ellen K, host of The Ellen K Morning Show on iHeartMedia AC KOST 103/Los Angeles was the recipient of the Gracie Award for “Weekend Host/Personality Entertainment,” and noted, “We all benefit from standing on the shoulders of the successful women who have been honored before us on this Gracie stage.”

• Patty Steele, co-host of Scott Shannon in the Morning with Patty Steele on Audacy Classic Hits WCBS-FM/New York, was honored with the Gracie Award for “National Podcast — Lifestyle Limited Series” for The Deep 6, which she co-hosts with Steve Cochran;
