Entercom Salutes Medal Of Honor Employee

• Entercom proudly congratulates David Bellavia, co-host of Bauerle and Bellavia on News-Talk WBEN-AM/Buffalo, NY, who on June 25 will receive the military’s highest award — the prestigious Congressional Medal of Honor during a ceremony at the White House.

Bellavia, a former Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army is credited for rescuing an entire squad, clearing an insurgent strongpoint and saving many members of his platoon as a part of Operation Phantom Fury in Fallujah, Iraq on November 10, 2004. Bellavia enlisted in the Army in 1999 and was previously awarded the Silver Star for his actions during the Second Battle of Fallujah. He has also received the Bronze Star, three Army Commendation Medals, two Army Achievement Medals and the New York State Conspicuous Service Cross. Bellavia joined WBEN as an on-air host in 2013.
