Maine Broadcasters HOF Adds Six
The six honorees also included the three 2021 inductees, who were unable to be honored before their peers: Cindy Williams — former News Anchor at WCSH-TV/Portland; “Mighty” John Marshall — longtime Maine air personality, most notably working for Stephen King‘s stations in Bangor; and “Altitude” Lou McNally — longtime meteorologist and radio/television personality, and the recipient of the “Suzanne Goucher Broadcast Achievement Award” — which carries automatic induction into the MAB Hall of Fame.
In addition to the Hall of Fame, the following radio stations & personalities were winners at the MAB News & Creative Awards: Station Of The Year — WBLM-FM/Portland; • Commitment To Community, Radio — WKSQ-FM/Bangor, “Christmas Is For Kids” • Best Newscast, Radio — WGAN-AM/FM/Portland • Best Radio Personality — Jadd Naamani, WJBQ-FM/Portland • Best Morning Show/Team, Radio — HOM Mornings with Lori & Jeff, WHOM-FM/Portland • Sports Play-By-Play, Radio — WBQX-FM • Public Service Spot/Campaign, Radio — WFNK-FM/Portland, “Frank Cares For Kids Radiothon.”
