• Westwood One will be highly visible at this weekend’s 2017 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas — Westwood One Backstage at the BBMAs will feature over 20 radio stations camped out inside the Lucky Live Lounge in the T-Mobile Arena, interviewing musicians and celebrities during rehearsals the day before the awards. 2une Music’s up-and-comer Taylor Grey will kick off Radio Row festivities with a private backstage performance on Friday night, while Republic Records’ DNCE will perform on Saturday. During the course of Radio Row, Ralphie Aversa from WPLJ/New York and WPRO-FM/Providence will be hosting content online and on Cumulus websites.
Westwood One also has five hours of BBMAs Night of Event Coverage on Sunday, May 21 from 7pm to Midnight ET — a one-hour BBMAs Red Carpet, hosted by WPLJ/New York‘s Jayde Donovan; a three-hour BBMAs Broadcast Companion — Hot AC & AC formats hosted by Adam Bomb and The Bert Show‘s Kristin Klingshirn; Top 40/Rhythmic formats hosted by Zach Sang, and a one-hour BBMAs Wrap-up with Adam Bomb, Kristin Klingshirn and Zach Sang.
• ABC and dick clark productions announced that Nicki Minaj will open the 2017 Billboard Music Awards with an epic nine-minute performance featuring special guests Lil Wayne, Jason Derulo and David Guetta. They join previously announced performers Camila Cabello, The Chainsmokers, Miley Cyrus, Celine Dion, Drake, Florida Georgia Line, Halsey, Sam Hunt, Imagine Dragons, John Legend, Lorde, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran and 2017 Billboard Music Awards ICON Award recipient, Cher.
Ludacris and Vanessa Hudgens will host the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, which will roll LIVE on both coasts from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas this Sunday, May 21 at 8pm ET/5pm PT on ABC.
