Pat Still Ready To Call It A Career

“It’s been a long, wonderful ride here at KNCI,” said Still (left), accompanied by co-hosts Cody Robinson (center) and Joe Maumee (right).
“34 years. I liken this to an athlete who is able to play his or her entire career for one team. Doesn’t happen often,” Still remarked. “I’ve been able to fly under the radar, and avoid the big 2×4’s coming across the room somehow.” Watch Still’s entire announcement HERE.
Still and former longtime partner Tom Mailey joined the former KRAK/Sacramento in 1992, and ruled the local airwaves together until Mailey’s retirement last year. Both gentlemen were inducted into the Country Radio Hall of Fame in 2024. Cody Robinson joined the show in 2017, and in January of this year, following Mailey’s retirement, market veteran Joe Maumee joined the rebranded Pat & Cody With Joe.
“To have had the opportunity to work with a Country radio icon like Pat Still was a career milestone for me,” said Chad Rufer, Group Director of Programming for Bonneville Sacramento. “It just made it that much more special that I got to be on a team with him as he (and Tom) were inducted into the Country Radio Hall of Fame. He’s a very special man who contributed a lot to our format and industry and we’ll certainly miss him.”
We are told that Robinson and Maumee will continue hosting the show as… wait for it… Cody & Joe.
